Most modular and mobile homes have a low <3 pitch roof. What this means is that special requirements apply for installing the skylights properly such that the homeowner will actually get a warranty and it will not leak.
Installations on a roof with a pitch lower than or equal to a 3 pitch requires a Curb Mount skylight. This is where many inexperienced installers go wrong and you the homeowner pay for it with a skylight that will soon leak and not be covered under warranty.
Rest assured Beantown's experienced installers will get it right the first time!

The No-Leak Skylight
While the other Skylight manufacturers are all but gone, Velux remains at the top!
The title above really says it all and it's quite true. Here in the north east there is really only one name that has remained and continues to grow, VELUX.
BEANTOWN Home Improvements is a well known and respected 3-star certified installer of ALL Velux models. Give us a call, we will be more than happy to assess your roof and the types of skylights that will work best for you.
It's important to note that not all skylights are the same, nor is how and where they can be installed. Sadly time and time again we run into disappointed homeowners that had a new skylight installed by a roofer that is now leaking.
In almost every case the roofer installed the wrong type of skylight for the roof pitch, and won't return their calls to fix it. Even worse, when the homeowner calls Velux for a warranty claim, they find out that because the wrong skylight was installed, the warranty is null and void and the homeowner is left with a leaky skylight. All this due to a bad install with a roofer that was not a certified Velux installer.
Whether you choose BEANTOWN Home Improvements or not, make sure your new skylights are installed by a certified Velux installer!

The Solar Powered "Fresh Air" Skylight features a solar panel that captures any available daylight and uses it to recharge a highly efficient, fully concealed, battery powered operator and control system. The battery powered operator is the power source that opens and closes the skylight and the solar panel serves as the charging source of the system.
Designed for curb mounted installations, the VCE electric venting skylight is the ideal daylighting solution for overhead applications. It brings in abundant natural light and with the touch of a button, opens to let in fresh air. And if you forget to close it, the VCE also closes automatically in case of rain.
Designed for curb mounted installations, the VCM manual venting skylight enables any home to embrace the best of what nature has to offer. Opening for maximum fresh air, the venting skylight contributes to a home's proper moisture balance and comfort level by allowing stale, humid air to be released.
The patented FCM curb mounted fixed skylight is sized to work with all types of site-built curbs, whether they're slightly out-of-square, pre-existing, or surrounded by unusually thick flashing and roofing material. Heavy-duty materials ensure the FCM skylight is built to withstand the installation process, as well as anything Mother Nature throws its way.
Curb mount skylights are required for proper installation on Low Pitch roofs!
